Usually instrumental investigative methods are not intended for the whole-body examination, but for the single-organ assessment. For example, for the evaluation of liver or pancreas ultrasound scan is used, for the evaluation of heart ECG is ordered. Electrosomatography is designed to detect body areas of concern in the whole body.
This is a method of so-called screening diagnostics, i. e. check on any possible disorders. Electrosomatography is based on the analysis of bioelectrical processes in active skin zones. It is a scientific fact that certain skin areas (Zakharyin-Ged zones) are connected via spinal cord to internal organs. That is why, in the pelvic organ inflammation a pain in the neck can occur and a thoracic spine disorder may feel like the cardiac pain. Besides, from the biologically active skin zones the information about the state of one or other organ can be “skimmed”.
How the method works
Examination by means of electrosomatography does not require the participation of a qualified health professional, because it is a fully automated process. With use of the explanatory figures the sensors are placed on the body and the software is run. The device delivers weak electrical impulses to the biologically active zones, and then the software analyses the skin reaction. Electric activity changes enable to detect abnormalities in different human organs and assess the severity of disorders, as well as detect the abnormalities in the spinal column. It is completely painless and harmless procedure, because electrical impulse voltage is only 1.28 V.
Zones of the head, the limbs and the trunk are scanned consecutively. The measurement process lasts only 1 minute. After program analysis with comparison measurement results to the normal values, the software draws a conclusion, containing presumptive disorders and recommendations. In that report all the detected abnormalities are listed. They are also illustrated in the image of a model of human body.
What it is used for
Electrosomatography enables to detect disorders of different organs even at early stages, when a person does not have evident symptoms of a disease. It helps to adjust methods of exposure on the body in a timely manner. For example, selected dietary regimen and/or the training program should be daily monitored by means of electrosomatography. In case the results regularly point to certain abnormalities, the dietary regimen or the training program should be adjusted. Besides, on the model of human body the spinal lesions are shown. This information can be used for massage, manual therapy and other body correction procedures.
For additional assessment of the organ state, examination using other technologies of Bioscanner should be performed. If there is a stable detection of significant abnormality over several days, it is necessary to seek a medical evaluation for diagnosis specification.
Measurement accuracy largely depends on psychoemotional state of the person as well as the contact between the skin and electrodes, particularly head electrodes. Poor contact between the skin and electrodes confounds data results, so the electrosomatography should be used not for one-time examination, but for monitoring, i. e. for regular assessment of the efficacy of treatment, health improving or rehabilitation procedures, weight improvement or training program. The changes are quantified: the report indicates the change in percentage improvement or decline of the health state compared to previous measurement results. Besides, electrosomatography helps to assess the body possibility to restore the spare capacity after rest, psychoemotional load or physical activity.
How the procedure is performed
Connect Bioscanner Wellness to a laptop or a computer via USB port to perform electrosomatography. The examined person should be in his/her seating or standing (if it is a load test) position. To perform an examination it is necessary to place on the body three couples of electrodes: on the feet, the palms and the forehead. After starting the program short-time impulses are delivered to the electrodes and the scanning is performed. After that the data from the electrodes go to the computer for processing.
Due to very low voltage of impulses it is essential to provide the close contact between the electrodes and the skin for the accuracy of measurements. The distortion of the results most often occurs due to poor contact between the electrodes and forehead skin. Electrodes must be placed on the clean skin. Any foundation, facepowder etc. should be removed before examination using a wet wipe. To provide the best electroconductivity, the head electrodes should be moisten with saline solution 9 %. To prepare it, you should dissolve a whole teaspoon of salt in 100 ml of cooled boiled water. If the examination of several patients is performed, all electrodes after every procedure must be wiped with disinfecting solution.
There is no discomfort during the procedure. Accumulator or batteries are not required for operation of Bioscanner. An electric shock hazard is excluded, because the device is supplied by USB port. It is not connected to 220 V line. The device can be used anywhere if there is a possibility to connect Bioscanner to a laptop.
Electrosomatography should not be conducted in two cases only: when a person has a heart pacemaker or there is a severe skin damage and/or skin disease in places of contact between electrodes and skin, i. e. on the feet, the palms and the forehead.
To avoid distortion of results, on the date of examination the person should not drink any alcohol, take anti-inflammatory, antihypertensive, diuretic, psychoactive or hormonal drugs. Pregnancy can affect the results as well.
Two hours before the examination the person should not smoke, drink tea, coffee or carbonated soft drinks. It is advisable to wear loose clothing made of cotton. It is necessary to take off bijouterie or jewellery made of any metal, watches or electronic devices before the electrosomatography.
